Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness and by consciously developing yourself through the discipline and science of these teachings you create a foundation rooted in positive habits. The practice of Kundalini Yoga works with the systems of the body, as well as the chakras. In particular, the main chakras (Sanskrit term meaning wheel) of the body are energy centers and regulate our entire well-being. Thus, Kundalini Yoga acts as a tool to clear and balance these energy centers. It is not designed to raise your kundalini (the dormant energy that lies at the base of all people’s spine); rather, it is a science that prepares the body and mind to allow for the natural process of one to awaken and experience higher consciousness.
